Welcome to the online GAPSS Reviewer Training site, developed in a collaborative effort by Northeast Georgia RESA and the UGA ETC.

Technical Note: This training incorporates previously recorded videos in Flash format. A good internet connection is ideal for viewing these videos.

If the videos continuously buffer, press pause. Wait for the video to finish loading. Then, press play again to watch the video in its entirety. Here are some pictures and instructions to help you out.

3. When video finishes loading (indicated by a full black bar as seen above), press play again.

What is GAPSS?

Georgia Assessment of Performance on School Standards: The GAPSS process provides detailed information for a school on the progress towards full implementation of the School Keys: Unlocking Excellence through the Georgia School Standards. The review process is mandated for schools in needs improvement at year six. Any school in Georgia can request a school review from the Division of School and Leader Quality of the Georgia Department of Education or the local Region Educational Support Agency (RESA). Schools can also utilize the rubric to analyze progress on the School Keys.

Press play to view the Measurement Lesson Video on the left. Please make sure your computer volume is turned up all the way. As you watch the video, complete the GAPSS Classroom Observation Tool to the right by completing the fields, scrolling down as you go. Click submit when finished.
